Beamshot Mr.Lite J2 and MX2 comparison, July 2010
This beam shot compares MrLite J2 and MX2 to other lights. Some of the light has multiple battery configurations. The lineup includes (Same sequence as the picture): Mr.Lite J2, Mr.Lite MX2, Quark AA, Fenix PD20, JetBeam RRT-0, Dereelight C2H
Many lights has a big difference in brightness depending on battery type, especially the J2.
Showing all the brightness settings on a logarithmic scale, it can be seen that all the lights has a good range of brightness, except PD20. This brightness range is distributed on a different number of levels, I like my custom programming on the J2 (especially the LiIon version) and MX2 and believe this to be a very good distribution of levels.
Measuring lux at 2 meters shows the J2 and MX2 as bad throwers in this roundup. The Jetbeam is the best thrower, this can also be seen in the beamshots where the RRT-0 has the brightest center in the hotspot.
The solid construction of the Mr.Lite light can be seen on the weight.
Note: All lights with batteries, eneloop or 14500 LiIon, except MX2 with 16340 LiIon. This also means that RRT-0 and C2H are weighted with extension tube.

Notes
I have not included all brightness levels in this beamshot, to see the missing levels, either see the review of the light or access the picture between the shows ones. To do this, right click and select show picture, then change the picture number one up or down. I.e. RRT-0 has picture "DSC_2431a.jpg" for low and "DSC_2433a.jpg" for #3, #2 has the number between "DSC_2432a.jpg"
